The H.O.P.E. (Helping Others for Peace and Equality) Games and C.H.I.L.L. (Creating Harmony to Inspire Life and Love) Center provides a safe space for youth and families build rapport with one another. Every Saturday, a West Pullman Community School is transformed into an activity and resource center for the community. Residents are be able to participate in various games and activities as well as connect to available resources in the community. Participants can engage in a variety of activities including sports, dance and board games. In addition, literacy activities are also available to expand youth reading skills.
MVP recruits 5th -8th grade students for participation. However, we encourage them to bring younger siblings as many of the middle school students babysit their siblings over the weekend. MVP provides age appropriate activities for all. In addition, high school mentors are present to encourage positive behaviors for the middle school participants. For more information on the H.O.P.E.
